  The Attorney General's Office (AGO) respectfully requests Controlling Board approval to release capital appropriation in the amount of $21,307 from fund 7026, ALI C05517 (General Building Renovations) to contract with Coleman Spohn, Cleveland, OH, for security fencing around the two AC cooling units at the BCI London facility.  
  The current cooling units do not have protective fencing. Both cooling units provide temperature control for important types of evidence at the BCI London facility. DNA evidence being one example. If the DNA evidence is not maintained and stored at a certain temperature it is deemed destroyed and can't be used in any criminal cases. The two cooling units need protective fencing to help maintain uninterrupted temperature control.

Coleman Spohn is a DAS third party administrator. They are the project manager that distributed the project scope of work to a list of pre-qualified contractors. Three contractors provided quotes. Coleman Spohn reviewed quotes and recommended. Johnson Laux Company, the lowest bidder. The AGO contract will be with Coleman Spohn who will then subcontract work out to Johnson Laux Co.
