REQUIRED EXPLANATION OF REQUEST
The Development Services Agency respectfully requests Controlling Board approval to release $683,000 from fund 4W00, line item 195629, (Roadwork Development Grant), for FY18, for the City of Euclid, for public roadwork improvements in support of the Amazon Fulfillment Services, Inc. project in the City of Euclid, Cuyahoga County.
Roadwork Development Grants are awarded for public roadwork improvements that support the expansion or attraction of businesses. Eligible costs include widening, paving, road construction and reconstruction, and right-of-way infrastructure improvements such as sewer or utility lines.

In order to support the Amazon Fulfillment Services, Inc. project, roadwork involves the modification and expansion of public road infrastructure, including re-stripping, widening of turning radii, and roadway widening to accommodate additional travel lanes. The modification of travel signal heads and phasing will also be completed.

As a result of the project and State assistance provided, 1000 new, full-time-equivalent jobs will be created.
