REQUIRED EXPLANATION OF REQUEST
The Development Services Agency respectfully requests Controlling Board approval to release $310,797.00 from fund 4W00, ALI 195629 (Roadwork Development Grant), in FY20, to the Village of Greenfield, for public roadwork improvements in support of the Candle-Lite, Huhtamaki, and Adient project in the Village of Greenfield, Highland County.
Roadwork Development Grants are awarded for public roadwork improvements that support the expansion or attraction of businesses. Eligible costs include widening, paving, road construction, and reconstruction, and right-of-way infrastructures improvements such as sewer or utility lines.

In order to assist the Candle-Lite, Huhtamaki, and Adient project, roadwork will consist of the restoration of two railroad crossings/intersections. The first intersection is located in New Vienna, Ohio, on State Route 73, and the other intersection is on State Route 134 outside of Martinsville, Ohio. These updates are needed for the safety of the public and employees at the companies listed.

As a result of the project and State assistance provided, 1,013 existing jobs will be retained.
