  James A. Rhodes State College respectfully requests Controlling Board approval to release capital appropriation in the amount of $103,244.00 from Fund 7034, ALI C38109 (Workforce Based Training and Equipment) and agency released competitive opportunity per R.C. 127.162 to purchase equipment in the amount of $50,262.17, in FY20, from IST Ohio Inc., Lexington, OH, for the Workforce Based Training and Equipment Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills (RAPIDS) program in Lima, Allen County.  
  The purpose of the Workforce Based Training & Equipment RAPIDS line item is to support education and skill training of students and/or incumbent workers to meet the current and future talent needs of growing, emerging, and high demand industries through investments in capital equipment and facilities.

The purpose of this capital Controlling Board request is to release capital appropriation to purchase educational training equipment in the skill areas of Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Robotics and Electrical Control Panel building.

The equipment purchased with RAPIDS funding will be shared with all the partners in the Northwest Ohio region.

Vendor Selection process: Rhodes State College followed the Board of Trustees and Rhodes State College Procurement policies and procedures for procurring capital equipment. Please see the attached vendor quotes and vendor bid tab sheet. Integrated Systems Technologies (IST) OAKS ID 0000220364 was the lowest bid at $50,262.17. Also purchasing educational equipment from Buckeye Educational Systems, vendor ID 0000240987, for $28,876.05 and from Clearpath Robotics, vendor ID 0000271607, for $25,355.
