  Southern State Community College respectfully requests Controlling Board approval to release capital appropriation in the amount of $381,000.00 from Fund 7034, ALI C32206 (Adams County Satellite Campus), in FY18, and agency released competitive opportunity per R.C. 127.162 to contract with BHDP Architecture, Columbus, Ohio, for professional design services for the Adams County Satellite Campus, West Union, Ohio, Adams County.  
  This Project involves the construction of an estimated 20,000 square foot educational facility consisting of classrooms, labs, offices and support spaces on a 15 acre site. This satellite campus will offer general and technical programs leading to associate degrees and certificates. Both traditional and nontraditional students are served by the college. Customized job training will be available to serve employers and assist employees impacted by announced plant closings.

In accordance with ORC 153.67, the college publicly advertised for the submittal of The Statement of Qualifications for design services for this project and 17 firms responded. In accordance with ORC 153.69, the architect selection team rated each firm using the standard Consultant Rating Form for Selection of Shortlisted Architect/Engineering firms. The architect selection team developed the short list from these ratings and interviewed the three top-rated firms. BHDP Architecture was selected as the firm best suited to execute the design work for this project. BHDP Architecture (OAKS SIN 0000133965).
